Annual Letter from the Board President
To all PAFA Members:
Welcome to the 2025 shooting and legislative season. Rest assured, the state of our current position is STRONG. We have developed excellent positions in the state and local legislations and are maintaining active partnerships across the political landscape. This is not to say that we should rest on our efforts - it is IMPERATIVE that we continue to educate our constituents and defend our rights to the sports we love. As always, we need YOUR help to continue the fight.
The shooting season is off to a strong start, with our PA Championship recently contested. I am happy to report we had a strong competition with difficult conditions. Zach was able to take his second championship, with Adam a close second. More shoots will be following this year and we look forward to welcoming you to a wonderful 2025 season to come.
On the political front, we continue to position ourselves for strength and advocacy with our constituents in Harrisburg. Though we are in a good position, we welcome any and all support you can render. Please consider a donation to our PAC - information can be found through the appropriate links on this site.
In March, our Legislative Field day will be held. We will welcome members of our congressional bodies in Harrisburg for a few days afield. Multiple clay target games, as well as opportunities to enjoy some game bird hunting will be presented. We are in search of volunteers and welcome any support you may be able to render. We would also like to welcome you to a fundraising opportunity to be held in May. We welcome couples from across the Commonwealth and abroad to a couples friendly day. Your association continues to explore philanthropic endeavours to support our many friends across the Commonwealth. We look always to broaden our reach and support these most worthy causes.
I leave you with a call to action for the next three months - find your way to an event, support a local outdoor organization in their fight for opportunity, and above all else get active in the sports we love. It takes each of us - not a passive body of enthusiasts, but an active group of passionate members that are ready to FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT. I am honored to lead you and look forward to many prosperous letters to come.
